Thread lifting aftercare
For one week after treatment, avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, hot baths and strenuous exercise such as gym workouts.
Keep the healing tape on the treated area for 1–2 weeks. Removing it too early can slow skin recovery.
You may wash your face and wear makeup on the day of treatment, but avoid pressing hard.
Avoid firm massage of the treated area, opening your mouth wide and laughing broadly. Forcing your mouth wide open can loosen threads anchored in the tissue.
For 2–3 days after treatment, sleep on your back and get plenty of rest. Good sleep speeds up recovery.
Wearing a lifting mask or compression band for one week after treatment helps swelling go down faster.
Occasionally a thread end may poke out or be felt with facial movement. If this happens, do not touch it and contact the clinic right away. In most cases it is resolved without any problem.
Take your prescribed medication whether or not you have pain. If pain persists, you may also take Tylenol (acetaminophen).
If anything feels uncomfortable or you have further questions, contact the clinic at any time. We will be glad to help.
