Hello from Face Design Lab.
If lifting sagging with threads and filling hollows with filler is the groundwork for improving the face, what comes next?
Today I'll explain skin care, including Botox, by comparing it to interior design.
Groundwork first, then the interior
If we compare facial treatment to a house, it looks like this.

Groundwork: lifting what has sagged (thread lifting) and filling what has hollowed (filler).
These two need to be addressed first for other treatments to work properly.
Interior: once the foundation is set, regular sessions with lifting devices that improve skin firmness and texture (such as Thermage) can take things much further.
Ongoing maintenance: this is where Botox comes in.
Botox is less a treatment that makes one big change and more one that needs regular upkeep.
It works best when you keep it up a few times a year.
What does skin Botox do?
Skin Botox (micro-Botox) is a type of Botox injected in small amounts across the whole face.
It can soften existing fine lines and pores, but its more important role is helping to prevent and slow future aging.

Vertical lines that form on the cheeks beside the mouth, which Koreans call “cat wrinkles”, in particular: managing them with Botox regularly while they are still faint can slow how quickly they deepen.
Botox for prevention is far more effective than starting once the lines have already deepened.
Priorities differ by age
One thing I really want to stress: even a well-regarded treatment is not equally necessary for everyone.
For people in their 20s and 30s, improving hollow areas or areas of concern little by little with filler is usually more suitable than treating sagging.
We don't go out of our way to recommend thread lifting first.

On the other hand, when sagging is clearly visible, correcting it becomes the top priority.
In that case, we start with thread lifting, use filler minimally and only where needed, and continue Botox alongside.
Going step by step is enough
If it feels like a lot of treatments, you don't have to do everything at once.
Starting with what is most pressing and will show results soonest, then going in order, is a perfectly good approach.

Taking it step by step, sagging first, then hollows, then skin care, leads to a far more natural and satisfying result.
What matters is not following treatments other people swear by, but tailoring your approach to what your face needs most right now.
I recommend coming in for a thorough consultation with your doctor, and you'll find a wide range of cases on the Face Design Lab YouTube channel too.
